Bringing the Archive to Life

A local history project exploring domestic life.

Help choose objects from the Lewisham’s Local History Society Museum Archive to create 3 pop up stalls at Deptford Market in spring 2020. The archive holds a fascinating store of domestic objects, collected over the last century.

Get involved with curating the 3 market pop ups exploring the items of the living room, kitchen and children’s room. Help capture the memories sparked by the objects.

Please come to our oral history training session at the Albany, Douglas Way 1-5pm. There will be talks from guest experts at New X Learning and a chance to see some of the archive’s fascinating objects. (Dates to be confirmed).

All materials will go onto a website & oral histories will be stored at Lewisham Archives.
